Overview

Hotel Istana, a five-star hotel, is located in Kuala Lumpur's city centre. It is not far from the main airport and near to the railway station. The 505 guestrooms and suites are spacious and luxurious and are equipped with modern amenities, including high-speed internet.

The hotel is the ideal place for meetings, conventions of the international scale, celebrations, and weddings. Grand Mahkota Ballroom can cater up to 2000 guests. Other 14 meeting rooms of different sizes are equipped with necessary business amenities for conducting successful venue.

Totally, there are 505 guestrooms (393 deluxe rooms, 50 club rooms, 58 club suites, and four stateroom suites). The standard features consist of broadband internet, safe, individually-controlled air-conditioning, radio with five channels and piped-in music with bedside controls, remote-controlled TV with movie channels, international direct-dial telephones with bathroom extension, and voice-mail system.

Other additional features are bathrobes, slippers, local newspaper, complimentary coffee/tea-making facilities, executive writing table and chair, hair dryer, well-stocked mini-bar, and in-room iron and ironing board.

Dining options

Asian and international cuisines are served at Urban. The restaurant has numerous offers of wines and liquor.

Taman Sari Brasserie serves a wide range of local and international cuisines.

The Istana Bakery serves chocolates, fresh breads, pastries and cakes. Special order for cakes and takeaways are available.

Songket Lounge is an ideal place for guests to relax. The sport lovers will value sports bar where you can drink cocktails and light refreshments.

Work

Grand Mahkota Ballroom and 18 meeting rooms of different are the preferred location for conventions, corporate meetings, government events, and private celebrations.

Grand Mahkota Ballroom is can accommodate up to 2000 people and can be partitioned into three separate function rooms with capacities of between 70 – 900 guests.

There are five multi-purpose court rooms of various sizes. With a capacity of between 15 – 60 guests, these Court Rooms are most ideal for company meetings and training sessions as well as cozy private get-togethers and celebration parties.

The eight executive meeting rooms are located on the 23rd floor of the hotel, affording a picturesque birds-eye view of the Kuala Lumpur skyline (15 – 50 persons).

Pencils, writing sheets, mints, assorted raisin, whole fresh fruit, RO water, flipchart, whiteboard, standard microphones, complimentary standard backdrop (wording only), flat parking rate at RM10.00nett per entry per car (rate subject to change) and many other features may be included into the meeting package.

Leisure

There are many opportunities for relax and beauty treatment. Please visit outdoor Greco-Roman styled swimming pool (7am to 8.30pm). Fitness centre (6.30am – 10.30pm every day; 6am – 10pm weekend, public holidays) includes fully-equipped gym, complete with separate male and female steam baths, sauna, and a whirlpool. A personal trainer is available for guests who require assistance in fitness workout.

Also, you can visit Sompoton spa (10.30am - 11pm daily). It includes two double suites with rain shower and couple Jacuzzi, four single spa suites shower room, four single spa suites, separate male and female steam room, sauna and a unit of whirlpool, and product retail.
